UPDATE: TMK sees US demand doubling to 5 mln tns in 2017

LONDON, Oct 30 (PRIME) -- Russian oil and gas pipe maker TMK expects that the U.S.’ demand for the company’s products will double to around 5 million tonnes in 2017, Sergei Alekseyev, director for global marketing, told PRIME on Monday.

“Thanks to the U.S. market recovery demand will be about twice as high as in 2016 and will amount to around 5 million tonnes,” he said.

The company also expects demand to remain flat at around 5 million tonnes in 2018 and to rise to 5.4 million tonnes in 2019 and to 5.5 million tonnes in 2020. TMK’s strategy provides for U.S. demand for its products at above 6 million tonnes by 2022.
